Thought provoking lyrics and beautiful guitar arrangements pull the listener along on a journey of soul searching in this long awaited all acoustic album by David Martin. Started in late 2013 and recorded in 2014, this collection of original songs is a glimpse of David's earliest solo singer-songwriter works. Each track developed through the course of his performances in Northern California, as he set out booking gigs for the first time as a solo artist. His passionate and poetic vocals provide a window into his life experiences as if they were one's own. The title "Subtleties" represents his hiatus from full band arrangement, and return to the simplicity of acoustic guitar and voice. In this raw, organic sound, messages of life's lessons, loss, and a love of nature accompany smoothly flowing compositions. Moving gracefully from Jazz to Folk, from Blues to Reggae, this album has a song for everyone.
